Purchasing Agent
The Purchasing Agent is directly responsible for centrally managing the purchasing function for assigned projects resulting in targeted profit margins at ETO, timely purchasing that enhances project schedules, overall management and development of relationships with subcontractors, and assistance in project close-outs with subcontractors where applicable in the purchasing process.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years experience in progressively responsible estimating/purchasing/project management in a commercial construction setting at the $200 Million or above level
- Understands the basic concepts of contract language and is able to apply that knowledge to Subcontract Negotiations and Subcontract Documents
- Ability to successfully negotiate subcontracts in any specification section
- Maintains a working knowledge of commercial building systems and commercial building envelope and is able to effectively apply that knowledge in the preparation of scopes of work
- Demonstrates the ability to support and lead a team of construction and administrative professionals
- Exhibits a comfort level building rapport with new business contacts and in social business settings in general
- Computer literate and proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, scheduling, and project management software
