Director of Safety
The Director of Safety will lead the safety vision and strategy resulting in a culture of safety at Forrester. Key responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining compliance with all safety, health and environment laws and regulations issued by federal, state and local agencies and corporate policies, identifying training needs in order to develop and implement safety awareness initiatives that improve safety performance and meet regulatory requirements and designing and implementing metrics to monitor progress and effectiveness of safety initiatives, programs, policies, procedures and processes.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related construction field
- Minimum of 10 years or relevant safety and health experience with an emphasis on construction
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulations applicable to Forrester's operations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Consistently demonstrates strong interpersonal skills along with the influence and/or persuade others
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of the commercial construction process
