Design Build Manager
The Design Build Manager is primarily responsible for managing design activities on Design Build Projects from project award through construction completion. This includes design team management, construction administration and all related activities. Secondary responsibilities will include document reviews for non-design build projects including risk assessment studies, constructability reviews and other quality control support. The highly visible Design Build Manager reports directly to Vice President of Preconstruction & Design Build Services.
Requirements for this exciting position include:
- Professional Architectural Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of practice in an Architectural Office that specialized in Government and Institutional Projects. Previous experience with Design Build Projects preferred
- Registered Architect or Registration immediately pending
- LEED Accredited Professional
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of Design Build delivery methodologies
- Basic understanding of the organization of documents and standard drafting procedures
- Experience and understanding of Construction Administration Services
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit, or other similar design software applications
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Exceptional Organizational Skills
- Excellent Communication and Writing Skills
- Capable of Public Speaking and Formal Project Presentations
- Management skills required to organize a diverse team and direct them, through consensus, towards Project Success
