Landon School, Bethesda, MD
July 30, 2008 - Forrester Construction Company's Education Group has been awarded the Landon School in Bethesda, MD. The Landon School is an independent, non-sectarian boys’ day school, which has an enrollment of 675 students.
This $6 million project will involve a 56,000 SF interior gut and renovation of the existing Barton Alumni Center. The renovation will include two gymnasiums, office spaces, equipment rooms, locker rooms, athletic training rooms, high–end lobby, and new MEP systems. In addition, the roof will be raised in sections and new entrances will be added to the facility. The Owner’s Representative is Brailsford & Dunlavey of Washington, DC and the Architect is Chatelain Architects of Washington, DC. Construction is scheduled to begin in November, 2008 and take approximately nine months.
