20, 2007 - Forrester Construction has been awarded Contractor
Services for the Provide Accessibility and Improve Ford’s Theatre National
Historic Site Project.
This national historic and cultural site in
Washington,
DC
produces musicals and plays reflecting family values in American life in the
historic theatre in which Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
This project will involve
providing universal accessibility in four attached structures that comprise
Ford’s Theatre, the 517 Building, the Back L (or North Annex), and the Star
Saloon.
Work includes exterior and interior demolition, upgrade of
building systems, structural elements, finishes, and roofing.
Accessibility improvements will be
made throughout the four structures along with the historic preservation
work and theatre amenities improvements.
The owner is the National Park Service and the
Client is the Ford’s Theatre Society.
The architect is ASD, Inc.
