Forrester Construction has been awarded
the Design/Build Construct Operations Facility
at Bolling Air Force Base
Washington, DC - February 20, 2008 -
Forrester Construction has been awarded the Design/ Build Construct
Operations Facility (COF) at Bolling Air Force Base (BAFB) in Washington,
DC.
This project will involve the construction of a
one-story, 21,000 SF office building.
The facility will be completely designed using
BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
BIM will also be used to coordinate trades,
provide 4-D modeling, accurate quantity take off, etc.
The owner is the Department of the Navy and the architect is The Onyx Group. The design phase is currently underway and will last until June 2008. Construction will then begin and is scheduled to finish in February 2009.
