Central Restaurant

Located in Washington DC’s Penn Quarter neighborhood, Central is renowned Chef Michel Richard’s French influenced American bistro restaurant concept. To fulfill Chef Richard’s vision of a warm and inviting bistro space in the heart of the nation’s capital, Forrester renovated an existing retail space in a tight, urban setting inside of five months.

The completed restaurant seats approximately 250 people between the bar, main and private dining rooms. The space features a showcase kitchen viewable from the private dining room, two wine rooms, a custom hat and coat rack separating the bar and main dining room and domed ceilings throughout the restaurant. High-end finishes installed in the restaurant included glass mosaic floor tile, wood and leather wall panels, bronze curtains separating the private and main dining rooms, granite counter tops and bronze railings and trim in the bar and dining spaces.
