Hill Country Barbeque

Hill Country Barbeque  is dedicated to the flavors and traditions of Texas barbecue. Like its New York counterpart, Hill Country’s DC Location is inspired by the “grand old meat markets turned barbecue joints” of Central Texas. Located in Northwest DC, this Forrester Construction project involved a full demolition and build out of an existing space to transform it into a new restaurant.

The bi-level restaurant has two dining areas, a private dining room, upper and lower bar areas, a meat market with three 4,000 pound wood burning smokers and a stage for live music. The project team also constructed ancillary support spaces such as offices, and mechanical and electrical rooms.

Hill Country features many high-end finishes including brick veneer and Texas stone tile, faux “burned” walls, rusted corrugated metal panels, old barn beams, faux plasterwork and wood paneling.
