Bounce Educare

Bounce Educare of Washington, DC is an early learning center that aims to close the achievement gap for children living in and near poverty. The center, which provides care for 175 children, is a 32,000 SF single story structure, located on the campus of Neval Thomas Elementary School in Washington, DC. The building is comprised of 14 classrooms, two multipurpose rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, administration offices, training rooms and a centralized courtyard that serves as a play area.

A Forrester Construction LEED™ Silver Certified project required the installation of a number of sustainable features including clerestory windows that provide natural light in the classrooms, exposed glue-laminated beams and decking and exposed concrete floors featuring a radiant heating system.
