Maret School

The Maret School is a private K -12 school with 650 students located in Washington, DC. Originally founded in 1911 as a school for international students, Maret has a rich history of culture. Forrester was selected for the repositioning and modernization of the athletic building and constructed an addition to the main building in two phases.

The existing activities building was built in three phases –  the original building in the 1970’s, the gym addition in the 1986, and the north infill building connecting the actives structures with the adjacent Woodley building. A smaller subsequent addition in 1999 also provided additional support spaces.

Other work included the construction of two new team locker rooms, refinishing of two gyms, and adding a lifting room, cardio studios, a movement/dance studio, and a physical training suite.
