McPherson Building

The McPherson Building is a high-end office building located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC at 901 15th Street, NW. To maintain the building’s Class A designation, Forrester Construction renovated the exterior façade and interior spaces of the 12-story building. The McPherson Building main lobby, elevator cabs, marketing center, management office, restrooms and a new fitness center were included in the interior renovation. Exterior improvements involved the installation of a point-supported curtainwall system and the replacement of retail storefront entrances. The new curtainwall system was built-out to encompass the building’s existing exterior balconies resulting in increased interior square footage.

To elevate the building to trophy status, luxury amenities and high-end finishes were installed throughout the interior spaces. The main lobby and elevator cabs feature slip-matched Okeme veneer millwork panels and intricate stone flooring, while the new fitness center’s locker rooms are outfitted with stone showers.
