Foxcroft School Dormitory

Founded in 1914, the Foxcroft School is a college-preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades 9 through 12. For this project Forrester built a 26,000 SF dormitory capable of housing up to 50 students.

The three-story residence hall has two floors of living space with a large first-floor common room, a second-floor study room, an open kitchen and dining area, four residential wings and three faculty apartments. The interiors are finished with vinyl plank flooring, ceramic tile and custom maple wood millwork. The building also has a 5,000 SF basement.

The dormitory is expected to earn LEED™ Silver certification thanks to a 33 well geothermal system, water and energy efficient building systems, low-emitting materials and sustainable design features.
