Foxcroft School Dormitory

For this project, Forrester Construction built a 26,000 SF domicile capable of housing up to 50 students for the Foxcroft School Dormitory.  Founded in 1914, the Foxcroft School is a college-preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades 9 through 12.

The three-story residence hall has two floors of living space with a large first-floor common room, a second-floor study room, an open kitchen and dining area, four residential wings and three faculty apartments. The interiors are finished with vinyl plank flooring, ceramic tile and custom maple wood millwork. The building also has a 5,000 SF basement.

The dormitory is expected to earn LEED™ Silver certification thanks to a 33 well geothermal system, water and energy efficient building systems, low-emitting materials and sustainable design features.
