Swampoodle Terrace

The new Swampoodle Terrace is the second Swampoodle Park in the NoMa neighborhood. Swampoodle Terrace offers more space for the community to enjoy activities like picnics, chess matches, and gatherings. Plants like cape myrtles, a magnolia tree, and more bring a shade canopy and a sense of greenery to this sun-soaked area. The L Street entrance highlights an amphitheater with stepped seating, tiered plantings, and bicycle racks. Upon entering, community members can rest or play on synthetic turf, concrete seat walls, and benches.

The west side features a steel and wood pergola structure that houses a bar table with stainless steel seats, chess tables, and a custom vegetated screen wall. North of the pergola sits a pre-fabricated boxcar with a built-in countertop, stainless steel cabinets, wood shelves, ceiling-mounted light fixtures, and electrical outlets for games, activities, and vending.
